Secure your home with this Schlage keypad lever featuring Nexia Home Intelligence (model FE599NX), and stop worrying about losing keys, being locked out, or having to hide a spare. With the simplified home automation features of Nexia Home Intelligence, you can control the security of your home even when you're not there from any Internet-enabled smartphone, tablet, or computer. And you don't need any advanced technical skills or home automation knowledge to install this keypad lever in your home.
|
For remote access over the Internet, this keypad lever requires the Nexia Home Bridge (sold separately) for wireless connectivity, an activated Nexia account, and a monthly subscription of $8.99. This version comes in satin nickel, but it's also available in bright brass and aged bronze.
Nexia Home Intelligence is a new way to run your home, from wherever life takes you. Everyone is busy, on the go, and being pulled in a hundred different directions, which makes staying on top of what's happening at home especially hard. But Nexia brings together home automation technology with a simple way to manage it from a distance, enabling you to do things like unlock the front door, adjust heating and cooling, and even manage home security and energy use--right from your Internet-connected smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Created by Schlage and Trane, Nexia Home Intelligence communicates wirelessly via Z-Wave wireless technology--out of the way and invisible--so there's nothing to figure out. An open system, Nexia Home Intelligence allows you to affordably manage your home your way now, with just the Z-Wave components you want. Expand on it later, anytime you want--and as often as you want--by adding more Z-Wave components as your needs grow. Gradually build your system with cameras, locks, lighting and small appliance controls, thermostats, and sensors over time.
The FE599NX is ANSI Grade 2 Certified for enhanced security, and it features a 1-inch throw bolt to prevent kick-ins, a vandal-resistant free spinning deadbolt turn, and a patented commercial-grade clutching motor that's been tested to one million cycles. Its rekeyable cylinders match existing locks for single key convenience.
This keypad lever features a non-wearing keypad that is lighted for nighttime use and epoxy-coated buttons that prevent fading and wear. It holds up to 19 user unique codes (with over 10,000 four-digit user code combinations), and you can easily program a code right at the keypad or online via your Nexia Home Intelligence personal portal (which utilizes 128 bit AES encryption for wireless security).
It's powered by a 9-volt battery for up to a three-year battery life. Easy to install, you'll be able to replace your existing lock with a screwdriver in less than 30 minutes--no wiring required--and it fits all standard door preparations (1-3/8- to 1-3/4-inch thickness). The universal latch fits a 2-3/8- or 2-3/4 backset, has a 1-1/8- x 2-3/4-inch round corner strike reinforcer, and its latch faceplate features a 1 x 2-1/4-inch round corner and drive-in option. The exterior measures 3 x 7 x 3.25 inches, while the interior measures 3.25 x 8.25 x 3 inches. This keypad lever comes with two keys, features reversible levers for convenience, and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty on finish and mechanics and a 1-year warranty on electronics.
After activating Nexia Home Intelligence for this keypad lever, you can grant entry to your home from anywhere when you need to let someone in but can't get there--just log into your Nexia Home Intelligence personal portal from most Internet-connected computers, tablets, or smartphones. You'll receive a text or email alert when your family uses their codes, so you know who's home, and you can add, delete, or change user codes remotely. You can also grant access to your home when you can't be there with a scheduled code to let someone like a housekeeper in every week during a specific time frame, or set up a one-time code for a guest you want to let in for a set time period. And you can confirm the status of your wireless lock (as well as its battery life) at any time via your online account.
You'll receive automatic updates to your Nexia system throughout the year, bringing you new functionality and enhanced features. And you'll be able to customize your home with your choice of Nexia-enabled products available now (as well as those being developed for the future). Additionally, Z-Wave products from Schlage and Trane work with other Z-Wave-based products available from a variety of providers, so you can customize your home automation and security system how you want it, when you want it.
To access remote management features, Nexia Home Intelligence requires a monthly subscription ($8.99), which includes a free one-month trial period that enables you to experience the benefits of this system before billed. There are no contracts or cancellation fees, and any unused months will be refunded. Additionally, the Nexia Home Intelligence system requires the Nexia Home Bridge (sold separately) for wireless connectivity.
